He terrified me, in most of his roles. Actually he was a classically trained actor and a novelist who adapted his books for the stage to critical approval. Still, i would not want to argue with him over a pub bar.
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine had the job of being his 'minder' when they were shooting The Deep in Bermuda, basically had to get him to and from set without walking him past a pub!
